About the property
Built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu around 1460 AD as the seat of the Kullu royal family, Naggar Castle is one of the few genuine medieval castles in the Himalayas you can actually stay in. The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has run it as a heritage hotel since 1978, preserving its Kath-Kuni timber-and-stone construction, carved wooden balconies and a small temple in the courtyard.
